Madisen and Jarrett's Raleigh engagement session was the perfect mix of casual and classic. We started at the Raleigh Rose Garden before heading downtown for a second location and outfit change. I always love when couples choose two different locations for their engagement photos because it gives us so much variety without needing to overcomplicate the session.
I photographed their engagement session on a mix of digital and film, incorporating both candid moments and a little direction throughout. I love being able to give my couples a gallery that feels natural while still having those classic portraits they'll want to frame.
Raleigh Rose Garden
The Raleigh Rose Garden is one of my favorite engagement photo locations in Raleigh, NC, especially for couples who love greenery, natural backdrops, and a more relaxed setting. Madisen and Jarrett kept things casual for this part of their session, which worked perfectly with the gardens.
Downtown Raleigh
For the second half of their engagement session, we headed into downtown Raleigh for a dressier look. Between the historic architecture and neutral backdrops, downtown is such a good option for couples wanting something a little more editorial and timeless.
